Leaving State Government

It’s with mixed feelings that I end my tenure today after 14 years in the public service. Looking forward makes me feel excited and daunted but I’m sad to be leaving a great team and an agenda I’ve contributed to for such a long time.

My reflections turned to worry,  “Have I achieved enough? Will I achieve more outside instead of inside?”

Fortunately Tan came to the rescue with the “climate change narrative”, a document we prepared for Greenhouse 2013 last year. I’ve indulged myself by circling all the good things I have been involved in, despite being off on maternity leave three times during this period. Here’s hoping I can stay just as busy and involved over the next 10 years.

And the future? Well, I’ve just helped the Premier’s Climate Change Council deliver a vision for South Australia – I’m treating this document as an informal, if not rather ambitious, business plan. Who knows where it may lead over the next few years…

I’ve taken the opportunity to run a short 360 upon my departure. If you haven’t filled it in yet, please complete the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/P7TNWJQ

and I promise I will post results in due course.
